A one-day Tuesday pass covers the keynote, the day's sessions and the evening reception.

    I'm a student

Student rates start at $239 a day for IEEE student members and $289 for other students.

Paper authors have a few extra registration rules.

    Questions

    Good to know

I'm not an academic. Is VIS for me?

Yes. VIS brings together researchers, students and practitioners from universities, government and industry. Cluster on Wednesday is for anyone doing visualization work outside a pure research role: freelancers, in-house teams, journalists, consultants, designers, analysts and students.

Do I need to be an IEEE member?

No. Anyone can register at the non-member rate. IEEE members pay a lower rate.

How does the two-day pass work?

It covers two back-to-back days, like Tuesday and Wednesday. For three or more days, the full conference pass covers the whole week.

Can I register at the door?

Yes, in Boston. You can also register online now.

Can I bring someone to the banquet?

Yes. Extra banquet tickets are available on the registration site.

I can't make it to Boston.

VIS also runs in person in Paris and Tianjin, November 10–13, with separate registration. Every registration includes access to the conference's virtual content.

    Who can I ask?

    Email registration@ieeevis.org.
